What a great week we've had. After a night out, Mandy and I have felt a bit refreshed and excited. Despite some inconsistent sleep patterns (I think I'll soon stop complaining about that and just accept it as my new reality, but until then, please bear with me) and our babies deciding that they do not like to be diapered or have their clothes changed, we are progressing swimmingly.
Mandy took them for her first solo outing on Wednesday to JoAnn fabric and Costco, and exceeded all expectations. The kids still attract many onlookers, but we discovered that if we drop the stroller's sun shade down in front of them it hides them quite well. The simple fact that there are two babies in one stroller attracts the majority of the all-female crowds.

On Friday I attempted my first solo outing, shuttling the twins to my Starbucks to visit my peeps. They are a great team, they've posted a picture of the twins and a message about the 'newest addition to the family' on the wall behind the registers. I think I did rather well even though I forgot hats for them. After the visit we went to my parents where we had planned a BBQ get-together so that my brother's family and my aunt an uncle could meet the kids. We had a great day and my Aunt Bonnie was able to spend a lot of quality time with Oneta Simone on her shoulder most of the afternoon.
Robert Graham has certainly been exploring the full potential of his voice. He can really let out a scream when he is in need of something, and he is quite an impatient little man. She, on the other hand, has a much quieter voice that usually consists of squeaks and grunts as opposed to a full-throttle scream. She is also the more patient one, so if they wake up at the same time and are hungry we try to feed him first as she is easier to pacify. Mandy says he is a Freker for sure - if he gets hungry he turns into a loud, grumpy person. Just like his dad, grandpa and uncle.

On Saturday we welcomed or friends Steve and Alicia. The newly married couple were so excited to hold the babies and looked to be having a great time (can you tell by her picture?) We certainly enjoyed their company. They brought us some diapers and some hats for when the kids go out on the town, and although he looks quite adorable in it, he may just have to grow into this one a bit.
